How do we pay?
By debit or credit card, or by UK Direct Debit, through Stripe. You can pay monthly or
yearly, and you get an invoice and a receipt by email for every payment.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Your madrassah is paused: staff and parents can't use it until you choose a plan, but
all your data is kept. Choose a plan and everything carries on where you left off. We
never asked for your card, so nothing is charged automatically.
Can we change plan later?
Yes. The app tells your headmaster when you're getting close to your plan's pupil
limit, and you can move to a bigger plan at any time. Not sure which plan fits?
Ask us.
Do texts to parents cost extra?
Not from your own phone: included on every plan. The app writes the text and opens
Messages on your phone with the parent's number filled in, one parent at a time, and
you press Send. Parents see the number it comes from, so a madrassah phone is best. If
you'd rather ClassNest sent texts for you, automatic texts are an add-on at what they
cost us plus 20%.
How do we cancel?
Just let us know. Your madrassah keeps working until the end of the month or year
you've paid for, and there's no cancellation fee.
Can we take our data with us?
Yes, it's your data. Ask us at any time and we'll send you a full export of your
madrassah's records and files. Many screens, such as marks and the staff register,
also export to a spreadsheet. After you leave we keep your data for 12 months in case
you come back, then delete it, or sooner if you ask.
Where is our data stored?
In the UK. Your records, accounts and uploaded files are stored in London; only the
encrypted copy of the nightly backup is kept in the EU. On the on-site plan,
everything stays on the computer in your building.
More about how we look after your data.
Do parents or teachers pay anything?
No. The madrassah pays one price, and parents, teachers and staff use the apps free of
charge.
Is there a setup fee?
Not for the cloud plans. The on-site plan has a £495 setup fee, plus the hardware at
cost.
